Actress Sofia Andres candidly admitted that her tendency to block or unfollow longtime partner Daniel Miranda on social media often stems from her jealousy and frustration during their arguments.
In their guest appearance on ‘Kuan On One’ Season 3, hosted by Melai Cantiveros and streamed via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel, Sofia and Daniel opened up about the ups and downs of their relationship, especially during their early years as young parents to their daughter, Zoe.
When asked about the frequent unfollowing that sparked breakup rumors in the past, Daniel revealed, “’Yan ang problema niya (Sofia)!” to which Sofia responded with laughter, admitting, “Ako kapag tumaas ang temper ko, I block him, unfollow him…” She trailed off as both she and Melai burst into laughter, with the host teasing, “’Yan pala ‘yung nangyari. Alam mo naman ang mga netizens, ‘hala, in-unfollow na ni Kuan!’ Mga baliw!”
Sofia explained that in moments of anger, she reacts impulsively online but acknowledged the need to mature emotionally and not air their personal issues on social media. “I think in that way, I have to mature enough. When it’s our problem, it doesn’t have to affect social media kasi ang mga netizen, sobrang updated nila kung sino ang nag-follow and nag-unfollow, di ba?”
Daniel also clarified, “Hindi lang unfollow ’yun, binlock niya ako! Wala talaga akong option,” eliciting more laughter. He went on to say that they’ve had misunderstandings, but he prefers to resolve issues privately. “I told her, ‘Wag mo nang i-post. Mas maayos kung silent lang. Wag nang magkuwento, wag na ‘yung cryptic posts. It’s nothing, di ba? Kami lang ang makaka-solve nito.’”
Sofia echoed Daniel’s sentiment, saying, “Kailangan ko rin siyang ma-understand, not just my own emotion.” She admitted to blocking Daniel when she feels her efforts to communicate aren’t being acknowledged: “Pag nagagalit ako, block na agad, kasi it means I’ve tried my best to communicate. Pero if sometimes, di siya mag-listen or something, for us, babae, nakakapagod din.”
Despite their arguments, the couple agreed on the importance of family and communication.
Sofia, who got pregnant at 19 while Daniel was studying in Sydney, Australia, revealed that he asked her to move there so they could be together and shield their relationship from public scrutiny. “No, he didn’t leave me, despite he’s so guwapo,” she said, tapping Daniel affectionately. “He has so many options in life but he chose to stay with me and Zoe.”
Daniel also shared that Sofia is his first girlfriend and that he sees her as his lifetime partner. Their appearance on the show served to clarify speculations about their relationship, which had intensified in April 2025 after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Since then, both have shared sweet photos online, and Daniel even posted a touching Mother’s Day greeting for Sofia on May 11, further assuring fans that their relationship remains strong after nine years together.
