On June 26, 2025, Globe Business—the enterprise arm of Globe Telecom—gathered top executives, technology pioneers, and innovation partners at the Marriott Grand Ballroom for this year’s highly anticipated G Summit.
Anchored on the theme ‘Disrupt,’ the summit underscored the critical role of bold leadership and agile transformation in future-proofing Philippine businesses.

“I truly believe that standing still in today’s environment is equivalent to moving backwards,” said Globe Telecom President and CEO Carl Cruz, as he opened the event. “The digital currents are swift and the markets wait for no one.”
Cruz highlighted outdated systems as one of the biggest challenges enterprises face, saying that legacy processes prevent businesses from responding with agility. He also cautioned against losing customer focus in the rush to adopt digital tools: “At Globe, we feel malasakit for our customers—having the ability to truly anticipate our customers’ needs—will set you and us apart from the competition.”
He added, “As digital becomes our daily reality, it means transforming not just the technology but also how we engage with, and deliver value to, our customers’ rapidly evolving needs.”
Globe Business’ ongoing commitment to customer-centric digital innovation, Cruz noted, stems from a philosophy that embraces disruption to drive meaningful change. “Disruption means dismantling inefficient processes, upgrading outdated systems and business models, and critically challenging the status quo,” he said. “If we have this comprehensive approach, it should enable greater responsiveness and value creation, and impact not just us as leaders but our entire organization.”
The summit’s speaker lineup reflected this disruptive spirit, featuring KD Dizon, Vice President and Head of Globe Business; Terence Mauri, founder of global think tank Hack Future Lab; Michelle Alarcon, President and Co-Founder of the Analytics and AI Association of the Philippines; and Bong Borja, COO of Alorica.
In her keynote, Dizon shared how Globe Business applied the principle of disruption to reshape its customer experience strategy. “Instead of just automating the traditional channels, we aggressively introduced and scaled self-service channels like the Globe One app, complemented by a real-time Chatbox and AI-powered help centers,” she said.
While embracing digital tools, Dizon emphasized that human capability remains the true driver of progress. “It is an outdated view that technology alone drives progress,” she stated. “In reality, people remain the true catalysts for change. Globe Business employees are continually trained in critical areas, including AI, data science, and cloud technology.”

For Terence Mauri, disruption is no longer a choice but a leadership imperative. “In today’s age of disruption, the biggest risk is thinking too small,” he said. He urged industry leaders to “choose courage over conformity, take risks, and move faster than doubt.”
Mauri warned against becoming overly reliant on what he termed “cold AI,” where machines dominate processes, and advocated for “warm AI”—technology powered by human values. He also introduced his BMI (Bureaucratic Mass Index) tool, which helps leaders identify inefficiencies such as excessive meetings or email overload that can stifle innovation.
To drive immersive engagement, Globe Business introduced the Spectrum Code, an in-app experience designed to help attendees identify the core values that best represent their leadership style. Live responses formed a digital “spectrum cloud,” with personalized breakout sessions offered based on each participant’s unique Core Spectrum Persona.

These sessions tackled critical business themes including cloud-first operations, cybersecurity, and innovation for expansion—led by Globe’s partners such as Google, ZScaler, Zimperium, Orca, Hexnode, Zoom, Versa Networks, Aruba, Ciena, Blackpanda, and Huawei.
A major highlight of the summit was the Experience Lab, an interactive demo zone that showcased live use cases of Globe Business solutions in action. The lab featured Globe Premium Cloud Connect, Orca-powered cloud security, and SIEM via Google SecOps, among others. Guests also explored centralized monitoring tools and endpoint protection powered by industry leaders like Zimperium and Hexnode.
“It’s about anticipating and shaping the future needs our customers don’t even realize they have yet,” Cruz explained. “We want to know our customers better than they know themselves.”
G Summit 2025 served as a clarion call for businesses to lead transformation, not simply react to it. Through its growing ecosystem of solutions, partners, and platforms, Globe Business made clear that disruption is not a buzzword—but a strategic imperative.
“Disruption begins with leadership, not just by title but through the choices we make every day,” said Dizon. “G Summit is our invitation to enterprises to stop waiting for change and start becoming the force behind it. Together, we can lead with purpose and shape the future of Philippine business.” (with reports from Lau Balocos)
