Despite the heavy rains, GMA Network and Sparkle’s pre-gala gathering held on Thursday, July 24, at Okura Hotel pushed through — with an inspiring act of generosity taking center stage.
During the event, GMA Network and Sparkle turned over a total donation of ₱2.5 million to the GMA Kapuso Foundation to aid communities affected by the recent typhoon and southwest monsoon (habagat). The donation was formally presented by GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle First Vice President Joy Marcelo to GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and COO Ms. Rikki Escudero-Catibog.
Included in the amount is an additional ₱500,000 from the BingoPlus Foundation in support of the Kapuso Foundation’s ongoing relief operations.
GMA Network expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all its sponsors and partners who continue to support the Foundation’s mission of delivering Serbisyong Totoo to those who need it most.
