Kapamilya actress Jennica Garcia opened up about her journey toward financial stability, saying her deepening faith in God and consistent tithing have been key factors in overcoming money struggles—especially as a single mother.

In a recent interview with veteran broadcaster Christine Bersola-Babao on her YouTube vlog, Jennica candidly shared that she no longer experiences the kind of financial stress she once did, crediting her current peace of mind to her commitment to giving back.
“The reason why I am saying I was able to attain financial freedom—sakto palagi every month. Hindi umaabot sa point na kailangan kong mamroblema kung saan ako kukuha ng mga kulang pa,” she said.
“Feeling ko that started when I became faithful with my tithing. Tithing is giving ten percent of what you earn back to the church. Para sa akin kasi, when the money comes, regardless kung yung ten percent is six digits or kung ilang digits lang yan—five digits, four digits lang yan—ang pera ko, pera ni Lord. Kung magbibigay ako ng 10% kung ano man kinita ko, pera pa rin ‘yun ni Lord. Hindi ko siya pera,” she explained.
Jennica, who is a mother to daughters Athena Mori and Alexis Severina—her children with former partner Alwyn Uytingco—shared that her priority has always been to provide them with a better future. Part of that journey, she believes, involves honoring God through generosity.
“I really hope you get to experience Christ at its fullest. If you don’t know where to start, the first step is to find a church near you. From there, everything else will follow. May God be with you always, mommies,” she said.
Apart from sharing her testimony, Jennica reminded fellow parents to be mindful about the content and advice they consume, stressing the importance of protecting one’s mental and emotional space.
“You are what you listen to, you are what you read, you are what you see. You want to fill your minds with things that are nourishing to your soul. Maging mindful ka,” she advised.
For now, Jennica is taking a break from acting to focus on spending time with her children while they’re on vacation.
“Since naka-vacation sila, hindi na rin po muna tayo tumatanggap ng teleserye ngayon to be with the kids, to make time with them. Very happy naman kasi everyday magkakasama kami,” she shared.
