Rising love team JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith made a splash at the special screening of their debut digital series ‘Ghosting’ held at Cinema 11 of Gateway Mall 2, where fans came in full force to show their support for the former ‘PBB Gen 11’ housemates turned on-screen couple.

Amid the cheers and kilig from fans, the buzz intensified as the audience witnessed a near-kissing scene between the two during the pilot episodes. While the moment left many wanting more, JM candidly admitted that filming that particular scene wasn’t as effortless as it looked.
“Pinakamahirap talaga ‘yung hesitation sa first kiss,” JM shared. “Hindi ko alam kung malapit na, hindi ko makita. Doon lang ako nahirapan. Pero halos lahat ng ginawa namin sa taping, nag-enjoy ako.”
Fyang, on the other hand, pointed to a different kind of challenge—holding back laughter during scenes with co-star Gello Marquez, known for his spontaneous adlibs.
“Every time may scene kami tapos kailangan niyang mag-adlib, natatawa talaga ako,” she recalled. “May isang beses na nakailang take kami kasi tawang-tawa ako!”
Despite the nerves and bloopers, Fyang earned praise for her emotional depth, especially in crying scenes—something she attributes to the emotional preparation aided by music on set.
“Mahirap umiyak, especially kapag wala kang mahugutan. Pero somehow, nadadala ako sa music before the scene,” she said.
Streaming exclusively on iWant starting July 19, Ghosting follows Jaja (Fyang), a city girl who moves to the countryside and falls in love with the mysterious Wilberto (JM)—who, in a spooky twist, turns out to be a ghost.
The eight-part series blends romance, comedy, and supernatural intrigue, and is directed by Ted Boborol. The cast also includes ‘PBB’ alumni Kobie Brown, Vivoree Esclito, Zach Guerrero, Gello Marquez, and veteran actresses Peewee O’Hara and Ces Quesada.
The show’s trailers and teasers already racked up over 40 million views across social media and YouTube—a strong indication of the growing fanbase for the JMFyang tandem.

“Nakaka-proud,” said Fyang, who admitted to cringing a bit during the first watch of their scenes. “Pero habang pinapanood ko, proud ako. Feeling ko hindi ako ‘yon. Na-enjoy ko.”
JM was equally reflective, saying he saw areas to improve: “May konting ilang. Pero naging mas masid ako sa sarili ko. Tiningnan ko if tama ang ginagawa ko.”
As iWant continues to expand its lineup of fresh, youth-driven content, Ghosting marks the official teleserye debut of two promising stars, with undeniable chemistry and a growing army of supporters cheering them on. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
