Before becoming a respected manager, vlogger, and entertainment columnist, Ogie Diaz, started his journey in showbiz as an assistant to veteran writer and host Cristy Fermin.

In a guest appearance on the digital talk show ‘Your Honor’ hosted by Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar, Ogie took a trip down memory lane as he shared his early days in the industry during the show’s session titled ‘In Aid of Plastikan: Mga Plastik sa Showbiz.’
“That 1986, oo, 16 years old ako.
So pag-alis ni Ate Cristy, naghihintay na lang ako ng Saturday edition ng That’s Entertainment,” he continued.
“Pero hindi pa ako reporter nu’n. Alalay ako ni Ate Cristy—tagabitbit ng blazer niya, ng tubig niya, saka ng bag niya,” he added with a smile.
As the conversation shifted toward the topic of “plastik” behavior in showbiz, Ogie didn’t hold back in sharing his experiences and insights.
“Siyempre, kapag backbiter ka, plastik na ‘yun. So maraming uri, maraming klase ng kaplastikan talaga,” he said.
He also pointed out that this kind of behavior isn’t exclusive to showbiz.
Today, Ogie continues to thrive as a content creator and film producer. His YouTube channels enjoy massive followings, and he remains active in the entertainment scene. His latest film, ‘How To Get Away From My Toxic Family’, features an all-star cast including Zanjoe Marudo, Susan Africa, and Richard Quan.
