Anne Curtis has denied making remarks against her ‘It’s Showtime’ co-host and close friend Vice Ganda after a supposed quote from her went viral on social media.

The fabricated message, designed to mimic Curtis’ account, accused Vice of making jokes that were “no longer funny” and “already hurting people.” It also claimed that some of his colleagues “harbored secret resentment” toward him but kept quiet out of “respito” (misspelled in the post).
On Thursday morning, August 13, Curtis addressed the matter on X (formerly Twitter), making it clear the post did not come from her.
“Good morning guys! See you on Showtime today! And cguro naman by now alam nyo Hindi galing sa akin ung post that’s floating around about my sisterette!!! Konting RESPETO naman po,” she wrote, poking fun at the viral misspelling.
“Sisterette” is the term of endearment Curtis and Vice use for each other.
The fake post circulated amid backlash over Vice Ganda’s “Jetski Holiday” skit during the Super Divas concert with Regine Velasquez, which critics claimed mocked former president Rodrigo Duterte. Calls from Duterte supporters to declare the comedian persona non grata in Davao City followed, though the city council ultimately passed a resolution condemning his remarks instead.
Vice Ganda has yet to publicly address the controversy.
