Social media personality Bea Borres candidly admitted that she once considered having an abortion before eventually embracing her pregnancy.
In her interview with Toni Gonzaga on ‘Toni Talks’ (aired August 23), Bea revealed that she even went as far as going to a clinic in the United States to push through with the procedure.

“Umabot po talaga sa point na nandu’n na talaga ako sa clinic…to take the baby out. I went through the tests. It took an hour. Nandu’n ako nakaupo. And then after everything, Ms. Toni, biglang may pumasok, tapos sinabi na lang niya na ‘You can’t push through with this,’” Bea recalled.
Admitting she was questioning her situation at that time, Bea said: “May takot naman ako sa Diyos, pero no’ng time na ‘yon I’m really questioning everything na, ‘Bakit gano’n? Ulila na nga ‘yong title ko, bibigyan Mo pa ako ng bagong title—The Single Mom?’”
For her, the sudden cancellation of the procedure was a clear “sign.”
“So, ang unang pumasok sa isip ko, ‘Iba ka talaga, ha! Parang nagpapakita ka talaga.’ May reason naman pero mas tinake ko siya na sign, e,” she added.
Borres went on to narrate another moment of realization during a flight to New York City. Sitting next to a woman, she confided about her situation while in tears.
“I was so lost. I told the woman I was crying because I’m pregnant, and here in America, women have a choice, but where I’m from, it’s not really talked about. The first thing she said was, ‘Babies are blessings from God.’ I was so speechless, and I told myself, oh, He will not abandon me,” she said.
On August 12, Bea confirmed her pregnancy and revealed she is expecting a baby girl—her first child.
In a separate Facebook post, she admitted she was initially unprepared, going through emotional and mental struggles before accepting her new role.
“This has been a long journey of acceptance because I was facing it alone at first, but there’s nothing I want more now than to finally meet my baby,” she shared.
Bea also thanked her family and friends for standing by her. “Napakaswerte ko kasi hindi nila ako iniwan.”
Still, she made her stance clear for her young followers: “I just want to make it clear that being a young mom shouldn’t be normalized. To my young girl audience, please always practice being safe. I just really got lucky because I have a great support system.”
