After weeks of speculation, social media personality and vlogger Bea Borres has confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child.
In her latest vlog posted Tuesday, Aug. 12, Borres shared how she first discovered her pregnancy during a collaboration shoot with close friends Toni Fowler and Alex Gonzaga.
According to Borres, they decided to take a pregnancy test after she mentioned her delayed menstruation. The result showed a faint second line, but it was enough to confirm the news.
Even Alex’s husband, Mikee Morada, checked the test and told her that despite the faint line, there was a high possibility she was pregnant.
“Congrats! Blessing ni Lord ‘yan! Hindi ‘yan basta-basta,” Gonzaga told her.
Fowler also advised her: “Hindi lang ito basta ‘yung parang ma-i-stress ka. Peace of mind rin na ‘wag ka nang iinom, wala ka nang ii-inject, wala ka nang ipapahid, wala na ring [raw food].”
Borres immediately called her best friend, actress Andrea Brillantes, who broke down upon hearing the news.
“‘Wag kang kabahan! Nandito ako para sa ’yo, Bea,” Brillantes told her over the phone.
Toward the end of her vlog, Borres became emotional as she apologized to her family and to Andrea for finding out the gender of her baby on her own. She also admitted that her pregnancy was something she never expected to experience this way.
“I’m just so proud of myself because kaya ko, kinakaya ko,” she said tearfully.
“And I love that you could be my greatest blessing that I could ask for in life. I promise you, and to everyone that gets to watch this in the future, that I’d really, really be the best mom.”
Borres has yet to reveal the identity of her baby’s father. The rumors about her pregnancy started weeks ago after Xian Gaza posted a blind item about a female personality who was allegedly pregnant but not supported by her partner.
On Facebook, Borres shared the same video with the caption: “It was never meant to be a secret.”
