Entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin has fired back at Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda after being name-dropped in a playful jab during the ‘Super Divas’ concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday, August 8.
While engaging with the audience, Vice spotted close friends MC Muah and Lassy Marquez in attendance.
“So you made it,” Vice said, before teasing, “Bakit kayo nandito? Magagalit si Cristy Fermin! Akala nila magkakaaway tayo, sisirain ninyo ‘yong narrative. Mawawalan sila ng content.”
In the August 11 episode of ‘Cristy Ferminute’, Fermin addressed the remark and called out the trio.
“Lassy, MC—lalo ka na MC—maano ngang magpakatotoo ka! Ano ba ang sinabi mo kay Vice? Anong malay namin sa nangyari sa Palawan? Anong alam namin sa ‘Showtime?’ […] Anong alam namin sa pagkakaibigan n’yo?” she said.
“Mag-reality check ka, Vice. Nasa palibot mo lang ang mga ahas na tumutuklaw sa ‘yo. Puwede ba magtigil nga kayo? Magpakatotoo nga kayo!” Fermin continued.
She also denied fabricating stories about the supposed rift between Vice and her two friends.
“Anong content? Ano? Inimbento namin ‘yong kuwento. Hindi kami nag-iimbento ng kuwento. May binasa kami. Alam mo ‘yan, MC!” she said.
The rumored rift began in May, when Vice confronted MC in a vlog, accusing him of not knowing how to get along during a vacation in Palawan. Fermin reacted to the vlog at the time, saying, “Masyado akong naapektuhan para kay MC, ‘yong pagluha niya, ‘yong paghagulhol niya.”
At the ‘Super Divas’ concert, Vice lightened the mood by inviting MC and Lassy to interact with the crowd.
“Kahit busing-busy ang ating pangulo sa Malacañang, nandito siya,” Vice joked while holding MC’s hand. “Mahal na pangulo, bumati ka naman,” she said, referring to MC’s resemblance to President Bongbong Marcos.
Turning to Lassy, whom some say resembles former president Rodrigo Duterte, Vice quipped, “Because this is a time of loving, lahat tayo nagkakaisa, fresh from The Hague, bumati naman po kayo.”
The playful exchange drew loud laughter and cheers from the audience, momentarily putting the “friendship over” rumors to rest.
