Actress Kazel Kinouchi quietly celebrated her 33rd birthday on Wednesday, August 13, but it was the birthday message from her ‘My Father’s Wife’ co-star, veteran actress Dina Bonnevie, that caught the attention of netizens.
“Happy birthday to a woman I admire. She is a loving and devoted wife, a doting mother, a professional actress, and a thoughtful granddaughter. Continue shine my dear Kazel Kinouchi! I love you,” wrote Dina in her Instagram post on Thursday, August 14.
Kazel responded warmly in the comments section, writing, “I love you my Mama!!!”
The post immediately drew mixed reactions online, with many fans surprised by Dina’s mention of Kazel being a “wife” and “mother.”
“Woahhh didn’t know she’s married and a mom na pala… happy birthday, Kazel,” one netizen commented. Another wrote, “May asawa’t anak na pala siya?? Happy birthday!” while another expressed disbelief: “Huh??? May asawa at anak na siya? Nakakagulat naman, akala ko dalaga pa siya.”
While some claimed it’s no secret among people close to the actress, Kazel has kept her family life private from the public eye. Dina and Kazel became close after working together in GMA Network’s ‘Abot-Kamay na Pangarap’, which aired from September 2022 to October 2024.
This isn’t the first time Kazel made headlines. In November 2023, she publicly denied rumors linking her to actor Richard Gutierrez following his split from Sarah Lahbati.
“Time is the ultimate truth teller. Hindi po totoo, ang ganda ko naman po,” Kazel said during a TikTok live. “Thank you for free publicity but sad to say it’s not true. Wala kayong juice na makukuha from me. For the last time, hindi po totoo ’yon, kapitbahay lang namin ’yon [Richard].”
According to industry insiders, Richard personally knows Kazel’s non-showbiz husband, which explains their occasional sightings together.
