Showbiz icon Gladys Reyes is now officially part of the Star Magic family after signing a contract with ABS-CBN’s premier talent agency during the Grand Welcome to Star Magic event on Thursday (August 28).
Makalipas ang apat na dekada bilang artista, Reyes expressed her joy and gratitude for this milestone, describing it as a blessing in her career.
“Masaya ako kasi answered prayer ito para sa akin bilang artista. Umaasa ako sa mas makabuluhan at mahirap na mga proyekto. Nakakaiyak ‘yung respeto at pagpapahalaga kapag nararamdaman mo pa rin ‘yun pagkalipas ng ilang taon,” she said.
Present at the contract signing were ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO Cory Vidanes, group CFO Rick Tan, entertainment production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, and Star Magic manager Gidget Dela Cuesta.
Looking forward, Reyes shared that she wants to showcase more of her versatility beyond her well-known kontrabida roles.
“Marami pa akong gustong gawin. Bukod sa mga teleserye, gusto kong mag-host ulit para maipakita ko ang pagiging totoo ko at ang tunay kong ugali — kung talk show man, variety show, o kahit game show,” she added.
Reyes was part of the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival movie ‘And The Breadwinner Is…’ and also serves as a judge on ‘It’s Showtime’. Recently, her son Christophe Sommereux also signed with Star Magic as a recording artist under StarPop.
