Fresh from his Best Supporting Actor win at the 73rd FAMAS Awards, veteran action star Jeric Raval proudly shared a personal milestone—he is now a grandfather to two children of AJ Raval and Aljur Abrenica.
During his thanksgiving mediacon for his victory in ‘Mamay: A Journey to Greatness’ on Saturday, August 23, Jeric confirmed the long-speculated news.
According to him, AJ and Aljur are already raising two kids together—a boy, now 1 year and 2 months old, and a baby girl who is 9 months old.
“Al Junior nga ang tawag ko sa panganay dahil kamukha ko raw ‘yung bata,” Jeric told reporters, referring to his grandson.
He also clarified that AJ’s decision to step away from showbiz was not imposed by Aljur but was her own choice.
“Hindi naman! Personal choice naman ni AJ ‘yun kasi masyado yata siyang trauma sa mga intriga sa kanya,” he explained.
Still, Jeric expressed his full support for his daughter’s priorities. “Happy naman ako para sa kanya kung saan siya masaya,” he said.
Back in November 2022, AJ and Aljur both denied having a child together. At the time, AJ told Julius Babao, “First of all, I don’t get pregnant every year. It’s like I’m pregnant once a year […] If I were to get pregnant now, I would be the happiest person in the world.”
Aljur also denied viral posts that linked them to a young girl.
Now, Jeric’s revelation confirms that the couple has two children, although AJ has chosen to keep her family life private.
Aside from his children with AJ, Aljur is also father to two boys with his ex-wife Kylie Padilla. The former couple separated in 2021, though both clarified in later interviews that AJ was not a third party in their breakup.
As of press time, AJ Raval and Aljur Abrenica have yet to comment on Jeric’s latest revelation.
