Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez has spoken out to defend her younger sister, Diane, after accusations surfaced online that Diane allegedly pushed a fan during a meet-and-greet.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Velasquez denied the claim and expressed her disappointment over the situation, saying she even has video proof to clear her sister’s name.
“Hello everyone, may nagreklamo lang she was pushed daw during meet and greet,” Regine began. “Ok first of all I want to say I am grateful and thankful tuwing nanonood kayo. I am also aware that you want every single meeting to be meaningful. Unfortunately hindi ganon lagi kasi wala tayong oras.”
The singer explained that both she and Vice Ganda had been performing for hours and were exhausted, but still made time to pose for photos with fans. She clarified that her sister did not push anyone.
“I also want to correct her, that my sister Diane didn’t push you or said kayo ba magbabayad sa venue — it was the other girl who actually said that. I know kasi halos sa tenga ko sinabi yun. Madaming tao dun. And they keep reminding everyone na kung pwede isang pic na lang at madaling araw na,” she said.
Regine added that the fan insisted on taking a selfie, prompting Diane to move her hand from Regine’s shoulder to make room.
“My sisters and rest of the people there was just trying to make sure we’re safe. I was performing on stage since 8pm… both Vice and I were so tired but sobra kaming thankful for you guys kaya kahit hindi na kami makatayo andun parin kami at nag papa picture. Hindi naman ako galit but I’m disappointed. Anyway,” she concluded.
The issue arose in the days following the ‘Super Divas’ concert on August 8 and 9 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, where Velasquez and Vice Ganda performed for more than four hours, delivering nonstop music, comedy, and high-energy dance numbers.
