Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi has set the record straight: BINI did not pay to secure their spot at Coachella 2026.

In an interview with journalist Karmina Constantino on ‘KC After Hours’, Dyogi addressed circulating rumors that ABS-CBN shelled out money for the P-pop girl group to be part of the world-famous festival.
“Sinasabi ng tao ngayon binayaran daw namin, hindi naman totoo ‘yun, hindi ganun!” Dyogi said.
According to him, BINI’s inclusion in the festival was the result of months of strategic planning, guided by ABS-CBN CEO Carlo Katigbak’s vision to bring Filipino talent onto global stages. The company enlisted international consultants and agents to help connect local artists with global promoters such as Live Nation and All Things Live.
Dyogi revealed that BINI’s recent BINIverse World Tour 2025 was less about profit and more about making an impression.
“Itong recent world tour was an investment. Wala tayong kita diyan. It was really a risk on our end. A month of being away from more lucrative opportunities locally, but we took that risk and went there,” he explained.
The gamble proved worthwhile, as the group’s strong showings in Dubai, Los Angeles, and San Francisco impressed international promoters.
“We needed to be able to prove that somehow we have a crowd, we have an audience. And after the world tour, boom. The important decision makers were impressed that ‘uy, there is something in BINI.’ So we got an invitation to be part [of Coachella],” Dyogi added.
BINI will make history as the first Filipino girl group to perform at Coachella, scheduled for April 10 and 17, 2026, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
The nation’s girl group will join a star-studded lineup that includes Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.
For Dyogi, this milestone is only the beginning: “Laging ang nasa utak natin, one way to go international is to be invited in big festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. This is the path we’ve envisioned for Filipino artists.”
