Veteran talent manager and showbiz vlogger Ogie Diaz has stirred fresh buzz in the entertainment scene after claiming that actor Daniel Padilla is now dating actress Kaila Estrada.
In the latest episode of his Showbiz Update YouTube program with Mama Loi Villarama and Ate Mrena, Ogie casually dropped the revelation after being pressed about Daniel’s rumored new romance.
“May nagsabi na naman sa akin, depende sa kanila kung aaminin nila o ide-deny nila… Daniel Padilla and Kaila Estrada,” Ogie said, surprising his co-hosts.
Mama Loi initially asked if Daniel’s supposed new love was a non-showbiz personality, but Ogie clarified, “Siyempre artista, kaya non-showbiz.” Ate Mrena, on the other hand, momentarily mistook the name for Daniel’s mother, Karla Estrada, drawing laughter from the hosts.
According to Ogie, the two Kapamilya stars have been spotted together multiple times outside of work.
“Meron akong friend na nakakita sa kanila sa Powerplant (Rockwell), nanood sina Kaila at Daniel. Bungisngis daw nang bungisngis ‘yung dalawa. Tapos nakita na naman silang magkasama two nights ago.”
He emphasized that there’s nothing wrong with the alleged romance.
“Dyusko naman, pareho naman silang single at walang tinatapakan.”
The two are co-stars in the series Incognito, though Kaila is not Daniel’s main partner in the project. Ogie pointed out that while fans have been shipping Daniel with fellow actress Maris Racal, photos and sightings suggest a growing closeness between him and Kaila.
For now, both Daniel and Kaila have yet to confirm or deny Ogie’s claims about their relationship status.
Daniel Padilla was previously in a long-term relationship with actress Kathryn Bernardo, his former love team partner of more than a decade.
