The 38th Awit Awards is set to honor the best in Original Pilipino Music (OPM) with a fresh and exciting partnership between the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) and MQuest Ventures (MQV) — the media arm of MediaQuest Holdings — powered by Vibe, the Philippines’ ultimate OPM countdown platform.

A Nominees’ Vibe Night was held last October 2, 2025, at Atmosfera in Poblacion, Makati, to formally announce the partnership and unveil this year’s official nominees. The event was hosted by Vibe’s lineup of young talents — Maxie Andreison, Joao Constancia, Anna Ramsey, Elijah Canlas, Kych Minemoto, and Queenay — and attended by top artists and music executives.
The collaboration was officially sealed through a ceremonial handshake among Jane Jimenez Basas, President and CEO of MediaQuest Holdings; Atty. Marivic A. Benedicto, PARI President and Awit Awards Organizing Committee Chair; and Alvin F. De Vera, PARI Auditor and President of Alpha Music Corporation.

“The Awit Awards is the legit stamp of OPM greatness, and through Vibe, we are honored to echo and carry this legacy forward,” said Peter Edward Dizon, Vibe creator and MQV executive.
This year’s awards night will be directed by the legendary Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan and will be held on November 16, 2025, at the Meralco Theater. The event will feature powerful performances from Ben&Ben, Over October, Lola Amour, and Dionela, with Vibe’s roster of jocks leading the show and bringing exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
R&B artist Dionela leads the pack with seven nominations, including Record of the Year and Best Performance by a Solo Artist for “Marilag,” and Song of the Year and Best Collaboration for “Sining” with Jay-R. His track “Hoodie,” featuring Alisson Shore, also earned a nomination for Best Pop Recording.
Meanwhile, Lola Amour follows with six nominations, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Alternative Recording, Best Musical Arrangement, and Best Engineered Recording.
The Nation’s Girl Group, BINI, also scored four major nominations — Album of the Year for “Talaarawan,” Music Video of the Year for both “Salamin, Salamin” and “Cherry On Top,” and Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
The Awit Awards, established in 1969 by PARI, continues its mission to recognize excellence in Filipino music across genres. With Vibe’s involvement, the 38th edition aims to engage the new generation of OPM fans by integrating television, digital, and live performance platforms.
The awards cover five major divisions: Performance Awards, Genre Recording Awards, Special Recording Awards, Technical Achievement Awards, and the Grand Awards — which include Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.
The 38th Awit Awards will be broadcast nationwide via Vibe on TV5 and live-streamed across the official social media pages of Vibe PH, TV5, MQuest Ventures, and Awit Awards. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
