Viva One is introducing a fresh tandem to fans with the upcoming Wattpad adaptation ‘Golden Scenery of Tomorrow’, and its leads Bea Binene and Wilbert Ross are making it clear that their chemistry comes from mutual respect and genuine care for each other on and off the set.
In describing their new pairing, Bea emphasized how much she values Wilbert’s reliability as a love team partner.
“Nasabi ko na very reliable loveteam si Wilbert kasi he make sure na I’m not uncomfortable with anything and to have loveteam like that,” she said.
“Hindi ‘yung ‘oh, kailangan ito sa trabaho ha, no choice ka, gusto mo eh, so eto ang kailangan mong gawin, kasi loveteam kayo eh.’ Pero, he is not like that. Ang ginagawa niya kailangang comfortable ako. It is not something na nakaka-bother sa akin. Para sa akin, sobrang importante po nu’n. Doon mas lumalaki ‘yung tiwala at lakas ng chemistry. Kumbaga, mas naging komportable kayo sa isa’t-isa.”
Wilbert echoed Bea’s sentiments, sharing how their dynamic fosters not just trust but also a positive working environment.
“Si Bea naman, very reliable din talaga. Dito sa project na ito, binigay niya talaga lahat, ‘yung effort, as in. Pag nasa set kami, may eksena kami, lagi kaming nagkakamustahan, okay ka lang ba?” he explained.
“Madaming beses sa isang araw na tinatanong ang isa’t-isa na, ‘Happy ka?’ Kasi gusto naming i-make sure na happy sa set at sa trabaho namin na walang masamang nangyari. Kung meron man, pinag-uusapan namin kung ano ang dapat naming gawin. Tinatanong niya rin ako. So, ’yun po ‘yung relationship naming.”
The two will portray Avianna “Via” Diaz and Larkin “Arkin” Sanchez, childhood best friends navigating love, ambition, and the challenges of fame. Via, an introverted architecture student, struggles with the shadow of her mother’s celebrity past, while Arkin, a film student, unexpectedly rises to fame as part of a love team in the entertainment industry.
‘Golden Scenery of Tomorrow’ is the fifth installment of Viva One’s hit ‘University’ Series, based on the bestselling novels of Gwy Saludes (4reuminct), whose stories have amassed over 695 million reads online. The teaser released at Viva’s fan convention last August already sparked cheers from fans, eager to witness Bea and Wilbert’s golden love story unfold.
Directed by Victor Villanueva (Patay Na Si Hesus, Kidnap for Romance), the series also reunites the ‘Univerkada’ ensemble led by Heaven Peralejo, Marco Gallo, Jerome Ponce, and more.
