Fans are buzzing after Donnalyn Bartolome proudly revealed on Instagram that the actor has long planned to marry her—calling her his “wife” even before they officially became a couple.
“Dun tayo sa lalaking may plano sa atin. Ang oras natin mahalaga,” Donnalyn began in her post addressed to women, urging them to choose men who are intentional and committed.
She recalled how JM had shown his sincerity from the start.
“A blessing for me, on April 11, 2023, this man started calling me his wife kahit hindi ko pa siya sinasagot. Posting my face on the internet hindi pa kami. Binakuran ako sa lahat ng nanliligaw sa akin making sure no one else stood a chance!”
According to Donnalyn, JM once told her: “Maghihintay ako basta pakakasalan mo ako, ah.”
She added that after a year of waiting, JM introduced her to his loved ones as his “asawa.”
“After ko siya sagutin, introduced me as his ‘asawa ko’ to people and his family, certain that I will be. In this conversation, I asked what are we doing, you know… just for clarity, and I got this response — ‘The Plan.’ Now that’s a MAN!”
Donnalyn shared that JM even picked out a wedding dress “peg” he liked and insisted on making their relationship public, despite her initial preference to keep it private.
“Now I understand, ganun nga naman talaga dapat: intention, wag ilusyon. Don’t settle for less, ladies. Never.”
She went on to advise women to value their time and choose partners with clear intentions.
“Cause choosing the father of your child is the most important decision you’ll make in your life. Please choose a good man with a plan. The one who prioritizes you, provides for you, protects you, and yung mabango.”
Toward the end of her post, Donnalyn addressed JM directly with a heartfelt message: “To my Juan Miguel, you’re auditioning for one of, if not, the most important role of your life: To be a Husband. God bless a faithful man. Thy will be done.”
The post immediately drew congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities, with some speculating that the couple might already be engaged—or even secretly married.
Last August, JM honored Donnalyn for National Girlfriend’s Month, thanking her for staying by his side during his lowest moments. The pair officially confirmed their relationship in June 2024, just a month after revealing that they were “exclusively dating.”
While neither has confirmed an engagement outright, Donnalyn’s emotional post and JM’s long-standing commitment certainly have fans believing that “The Plan” may soon lead to wedding bells.
