Ogie Diaz apologizes to ‘PBB Gen 11’ Big Winner Fyang Smith: ‘Misunderstood kita’

After months of public tension and online speculation, Ogie Diaz and ‘Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11’ Big Winner Fyang Smith have finally sat down for a heart-to-heart conversation—one that ended with a public apology from the veteran host and talent manager.

In the viral episode of ‘Ogie Diaz Inspires’ on YouTube, Ogie opened the interview by addressing the elephant in the room: “Nasaan na nga ba si Fyang? Hinahanap niyo ba siya? Andito siya kasama ko. Iniisip nila na, ‘Oh! Bakit ininterview ni Ogie ‘yan? Di ba galit siya diyan?’”

Then, turning to his guest, he asked directly: “Ngayon ang tanong ko sa’yo, galit ka ba sa’kin?”

Without hesitation, Fyang replied, “No po, Tito Ogs.”

She clarified that she was never angry with Ogie, though some of her fans may have been hurt by his earlier remarks. Ogie, in turn, admitted that he had also never harbored ill feelings toward her—but confessed to having misjudged her.

“Gusto kong humingi ng sorry sa’yo [Fyang] dahil na misunderstood kita,” Ogie said. “In fairness, wala rin akong narinig kay Fyang na tinitira niya ako.”

To which Fyang responded simply, “Walang ganun, Tito Ogs.”

During the interview, Fyang addressed several controversies that had followed her since leaving the ‘PBB’ house—issues that had fueled online criticism and misunderstandings.

She first clarified a viral clip where she appeared to hit her marshal, saying it was a playful moment that had been taken out of context.

“Si Kuya Bravo po kasi, hindi marshal ang tingin ko sa kanya—ang tingin ko po sa kanya friends, family, tropa,” she explained. “Every time na may ganap ako, andun lagi siya sa tabi ko.”

Fyang also explained her “rude” reaction in a dressing room incident that trended online, saying she merely reacted to the strong perfume scent sprayed nearby.

“Maingay lang ang mukha ko,” she said, laughing. “Hindi ako marunong magmaldita kung walang ginagawang masama sa’kin o sa pamilya ko.”

She also denied being “arrogant” or “flirtatious,” clarifying that her friendly nature is often misunderstood.

Fyang candidly admitted that she has been reprimanded by her management multiple times.

“Lagi po akong pinapagalitan ni Direk Lauren [Dyogi],” she revealed. “Every time na may issue, lagi akong nasa 12th floor. Pero hindi naman pagalit—pagsabihan para i-correct ‘yung mga wrongdoings ko.”

She said she’s learned to take every comment constructively, especially from her mentors in Star Magic, adding,

“Pumapasok naman po sa utak ko lahat ng sinasabi nila.”

When asked about her rumored closeness with PBB co-star JM, Fyang smiled and admitted, “Sobra siyang importanteng tao sa akin. Happy kami. Okey kami sa isa’t isa.”

The interview ended on a redemptive note, with Ogie acknowledging Fyang’s humility and maturity, and Fyang expressing gratitude for finally being understood.

“Pagod na ako sa issue,” she said softly. “Hindi ako perfect at hindi masama ugali ko.”

Netizens praised Fyang’s grace and composure throughout the interview, calling it her most genuine and mature public appearance yet. Many lauded her for facing someone who had previously criticized her with calm and respect—proof, they said, of her growth since ‘PBB’. “Fyang’s grace in her Ogie Diaz interview was inspiring. True strength is in quiet humility, not loud shouting,” one netizen wrote.
