Rising Viva Artists Agency stars Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji, collectively known to fans as RabGel, are officially taking their love team to the big screen as they headline the Philippine adaptation of the Korean hit ‘A Werewolf Boy’ under Viva Films and Studio Viva.

The 2012 South Korean fantasy-romance classic, which originally starred Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young, tells the story of a lonely girl who discovers a mysterious feral boy living on her family’s countryside property. As she teaches him how to behave like a human, the two form a bond that evolves into a heartbreaking yet tender love story.
In the local version, Rabin steps into the role of the werewolf boy—a character torn between innocence and instinct—while Angela plays the young woman who finds compassion and love in his wildness.
Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, who also helmed the hit Viva One series ‘Seducing Drake Palma’, the film is poised to be a career-defining moment for both actors.
“It’s thrilling and nerve-wracking at the same time,” Rabin shared, noting that he studied various performances and films to prepare for the role. “I wanted to make sure that I honor the original but still make the character my own.”
Angela, meanwhile, expressed excitement about reuniting with Rabin after the success of ‘Seducing Drake Palma’, the Wattpad-based series that catapulted them to fame.
“Working with Rabin again feels natural,” Angela said. “We’ve already built that trust and chemistry, so this project is our chance to explore something deeper and more emotional.”
The pair’s on-screen chemistry was evident during their surprise teaser reveal at the Viva One event held at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2025, where fans erupted into cheers after seeing the words “Soon in cinemas” flash on the screen.
Known for their charm and authenticity, Rabin and Angela rose to prominence through ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E’ and later ‘Seducing Drake Palma’, which became one of Viva One’s top-rated series with millions of online views.
Now stepping onto the big screen, both actors admit that the transition comes with pressure—but also a renewed sense of purpose.
“This film is a huge opportunity for us to grow,” Rabin said. “We want to show a more mature side of our acting.”
“It’s not just about kilig anymore,” Angela added. “It’s about telling a story that will move people.”
