Excitement filled SPACE, One Ayala in Makati City as the World Travel Expo Year 9 officially opened its doors on October 17, 2025, uniting travelers, tourism professionals, and lifestyle brands for three days of exploration, culture, and connection.
Running until October 19, the annual event continues its legacy as one of the Philippines’ most anticipated travel showcases.
With this year’s theme, “Discover Beauty, Explore Freely,” the Expo invites guests to embrace the spirit of adventure through exclusive airfare and hotel deals, cultural showcases, and interactive travel experiences from top airlines, resorts, and lifestyle exhibitors.
Event organizer Mildred “Miles” Caballero, Managing Director of AD Asia Events Group OPC, opened the event with a heartfelt message of gratitude and inspiration.
“Every time we open a new chapter of the World Travel Expo, we are reminded of why we do this — to bring people together, to celebrate the beauty of travel, and to keep our shared passion alive,” Caballero said.
She emphasized that beyond the vibrant exhibits, the Expo represents stories, connections, and opportunities that bring people closer together.
“It is not just about where you go — it is about what you find along the way. Every journey brings us closer to beauty, connection, and purpose,” she added.
Department of Tourism Officer-in-Charge for Market Development Dr. Azucena C. Pallugna also graced the opening ceremony and praised the organizers for their contribution to the country’s tourism growth.
“This travel show helps us promote our destinations. And since this is a world travel show, it also promotes our cruise tourism program,” she shared, announcing that Costa Cruises will begin home porting in the Philippines next year.
Dr. Pallugna also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting sustainable and inclusive tourism.
“Our travel industry is developing and adapting to be more digitally conscious. The world loves the Philippines, and together we continue to nurture a tourism industry that is sustainable, inclusive, innovative, and proudly Filipino,” she said.
Now in its ninth year, the World Travel Expo continues to serve as a trusted platform for both travelers and businesses, bridging local and global tourism players through innovation and collaboration.
To close the ceremony, Caballero left attendees with a message that perfectly captures the essence of the event: “Let us discover beauty. Let us explore freely. Let us make this journey unforgettable together.”
