EastWest Bank, food delivery platform foodpanda, and global payments leader Visa have officially launched a new co-branded credit card aimed at accelerating the shift toward cashless payments in the Philippines.

Unveiled in Makati, the EastWest foodpanda Visa Credit Card is positioned as the “ultimate foodie card,” offering weekly cashback, seamless digital payments, and perks tailored for the country’s fast-growing digital-first consumer base.
A standout feature of the card is its 10% cashback on all foodpanda orders worth up to ₱4,000 monthly, credited weekly to the user’s pandapay wallet — a first in the local payments space. After hitting the cap, users may still enjoy 3% cashback on subsequent foodpanda transactions.
Cardholders also earn:
- 1% cashback on international purchases
- 0.3% cashback on local in-store and online purchases
- ₱1,000 monthly maximum cashback across all spending categories
The first year’s annual fee is waived, and the first 50,000 approved customers will receive a six-month pandapro subscription.

Foodpanda Philippines Managing Director Daniel Jaramillo said the card was designed to help Filipino consumers transition away from cash, noting that a large portion of foodpanda users still rely on cash-on-delivery.
“We also want to allow more customers to stop using cash and use digital options which are easier, simple, and flawless,” Jaramillo said. “We built this card around what our customers love most: food, convenience, and crave-on-demand.”
Foodpanda Finance Director Lex De Castro added that the collaboration aims to convert COD users into digital spenders through accessible credit options.
EastWest Bank CEO Jerry Ngo said the partnership allows the bank to reach foodpanda’s estimated 4 million customers, many of whom are digital natives.
Ngo also highlighted the card’s tap-to-pay NFC capability, noting the industry’s movement toward a “tap-to-pay society.”
“Things should move into contactless payments. An NFC card is really exciting for us because it revolutionizes the way we do things,” Ngo said. “This is another way we make banking easier, turning every meal into a moment of value.”

Visa Philippines Country Manager Jeffrey Navarro emphasized that the card aligns with changing consumer behavior.
“Visa’s technology and global network enable fast, seamless, and secure payments. This partnership underscores our commitment to providing financial products tailored to Filipinos’ dynamic needs,” he said.
The EastWest foodpanda Visa Credit Card can be applied for through: the foodpanda app, or EastWest’s AI assistant ESTA.
Approved cards are delivered to customers’ homes and can be used across all Visa-enabled merchants worldwide, both online and in-store.
The companies expressed optimism about the launch timing, noting that December consistently brings a surge in food spending and delivery orders. (with reports from Aldrine Benitez)
