As the Philippine e-commerce industry continues its exponential rise, Lazada is doubling down on innovation, trust, and authentic shopping experiences with its much-anticipated 11.11 Biggest Sale of the Year, happening from November 10 (8 p.m.) to November 13.

At a press briefing held in Taguig City on November 5, Lazada Philippines CEO Carlos Barrera and Head of Seller Operations Alvin Ching discussed how Lazada is driving the local e-commerce landscape forward while strengthening consumer confidence and brand partnerships.
“As e-commerce continues to be a key growth driver of the digital economy, our goal is to strengthen Lazada’s position as the premier online destination for authentic brands and high-quality products,” said Barrera. “We are focused on building an ecosystem where consumers shop with confidence, ensuring every purchase is marked by authenticity, quality, and trust.”

According to GlobalData, the Philippine e-commerce market is projected to hit ₱2.2 trillion by 2028, propelled by digital-savvy consumers and the increasing availability of premium brands online.
Barrera said Lazada remains bullish on growth, citing that the local e-commerce sector — currently valued at around $25 billion — could triple by 2033.
“It’s been growing at a strong double-digit rate for the past decade. Maybe we can reach $75 billion (₱4.4 trillion) by 2033,” he said. “We’re only scratching the surface. That’s why we use these mega campaigns — these big events — to get everybody to understand what e-commerce is about and to experience it.”
This year’s 11.11 event introduces enhanced features led by AI Lazzie, the region’s first generative AI-powered e-commerce chatbot.
AI Lazzie serves as a personal shopping assistant, giving personalized product recommendations and maximizing savings through intelligent voucher stacking. It also powers the new SmartStack feature, which automatically combines LazRewards and seller vouchers for the best possible discounts.
Barrera noted that AI plays a crucial role in making shopping “smarter, faster, and more personal,” helping customers navigate millions of products efficiently.

During the 11.11 Biggest Sale, shoppers can enjoy up to 90% off LazFlash deals, ₱2,000 worth of vouchers, and free shipping across a wide range of categories — from tech and fashion to beauty and lifestyle.
The event will feature exclusive assortments from leading brands such as Nike, Dyson, Samsung, Jo Malone, Shiseido, Breville, Mondelez, NutriAsia, Nestlé, and Lactum, as well as top Korean and Japanese brands through its new partnership with Gmarket Korea, including Sulwhasoo, Laneige, COSRX, and Skinfood.
Through LazMall, Southeast Asia’s largest online mall, Lazada gives consumers direct access to over 32,000 brands, all backed by the 100% Authenticity Guarantee, 2X Money Back assurance, Fast Delivery, and 30-day Free Returns.
“LazMall continues to show remarkable growth, with the Philippines recording a 40% increase in average order value during 9.9 — outperforming the regional average,” Barrera shared.
Beyond shopping, Lazada is also expanding its support for content creators and small businesses.
Through its LazAffiliates program, the company is investing $25 million to increase commissions for top-performing affiliates who drive engagement and conversions.
Additionally, Lazada recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to help Filipino microentrepreneurs and innovators reach a wider market through e-commerce.
“At Lazada, our story is about brand partnerships,” said Ching. “We are trusted by brands as a partner for success because we invest in them. We’re reinforcing trust to provide a safe and secure e-commerce ecosystem where our partners can scale and grow.”
With innovation, authenticity, and customer empowerment at its core, Lazada aims to remain the go-to destination for Filipinos seeking both value and trust in the digital marketplace.
As Barrera put it, “This 11.11, we celebrate how our commitment to innovation and collaboration continues to create a superior online shopping experience.” (with reports from Loyd Pino)
