Singer Morissette Amon shared that she is looking forward to spending Christmas with her family this year, marking another milestone in their renewed relationship after years of estrangement.

During the 38th Awit Awards, where she received two nominations and attended the ceremony, the singer said 2025 has been a meaningful year for her and her loved ones.
“I think sobrang special po ng year na ’to and this upcoming holiday season for me and my family,” Morissette said. She recalled that her parents were present at her recent Araneta concert, noting it had been a long time since they last saw her perform live. “I even dedicated a song, na noong pandemic I wrote for them, and I sang it in front of them.”
Morissette and her family reconciled in July 2024 following years of tension that began in 2019, when her father publicly expressed disapproval of her relationship with now-husband Dave Lamar. The couple married in June 2021 in a private ceremony without her family’s attendance, but have since rebuilt ties, including celebrating her mother’s birthday together in January 2025.
With Christmas approaching, the singer said she is hopeful for a peaceful holiday season not just for her family but for the country.
“If I have a Christmas wish… ‘Philippine Peace,’” Morissette said. “Ang dami lang po talagang nangyayari sa Pilipinas. I think that’s just my wish—for us to have a peaceful and happy Christmas with our family and loved ones.”
