Actor and TV host Paolo Contis is in a better place these days — not just in his career but also in his personal life, as he revealed that he is reconnecting and mending relationships with his children.

During the media conference for ‘Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario’, Paolo was asked what a “happy home” means to him, especially after recently reuniting with his two daughters, Xalene and Xonia, his children with ex-wife Lian Paz.
“’Yung home na walang problema. Feeling ko gusto mong dalhin ‘yan sa mga anak ko e. So, pagbigyan kita,” he said with a smile.
“It doesn’t matter kung magkakasama kami or what in one home. My home is my heart, and they’re in my heart. So regardless kung magkakalayo kami—‘yung mom ko nasa Mandaluyong, kuya ko nasa ibang lugar, mga anak ko nasa Cebu, ako nasa Makati—but they’re in my heart. So my home is happy.”
The Kapuso comedian admitted that while he feels “almost complete,” there are still personal matters he continues to work on — including his relationship with his daughter with LJ Reyes.
“Almost. I’m almost complete. I’m still fixing my problems, which I will never tell how I’m fixing. Kasi mas naging maayos ‘yung buhay nung hindi ko sinasabi sa inyo,” Paolo said. “Mas fulfilling kapag ginagawa mo nang tahimik.”
He emphasized that this time, he prefers to resolve private matters privately.
“I think it’s also important na privately ko ayusin ‘yung mga private na bagay. Kasi ‘yung mga taong kinauukulan are private people already. Ayokong isipin ng iba na I’m doing it for hype — it comes natural na lang. Mas fulfilling ‘yung feeling.”
When asked directly if he was already working on his relationship with Summer, his daughter with LJ Reyes, Paolo confirmed: “Ah yes! Siyempre kasama siya doon. That’s what I’m talking about. Hindi ko na nga lang sinasabi. Common knowledge naman na may mga hindi pa ako naaayos. But everything that I need to do is being done. Ganun lang kasimple.”
Paolo also expressed gratitude for being on good terms with Lian Paz and her husband John Cabahug, who he publicly thanked in a previous post after spending a weekend with his daughters in Cebu.
“I’m just happy that things are finally falling into place. Slowly but surely, life is getting better,” he said.

Paolo stars alongside Angeline Quinto, Eugene Domingo, Luis Alandy, and Richard Yap in ‘Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario’, which opens in cinemas nationwide on December 3, 2025, under the direction of Marlon M. Rivera. (with reports from Aldrine Benitez)
