Online personality Valentine Rosales is facing heavy criticism after his earlier Facebook posts blaming model Ivan Cezar Ronquillo for the death of freelance model and Vivamax star Gina Lima resurfaced—hours after Ronquillo was confirmed dead on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Rosales’ posts, which accused Ronquillo of physically abusing Lima, were deleted after news broke that Ronquillo had died by suicide in the same condo unit where he found Lima unresponsive just days earlier.
Before the posts were taken down, screenshots showed Rosales sending a series of expletive-filled messages to Ronquillo, saying: “Hoyyy!!! Hayup ka!! Ano ginawa mo kay Gina!!! … Wag ka mananakit ng babae!”
Ronquillo had shared the screenshots on his Facebook page shortly before his death, tagging Rosales as among those publicly accusing him of harming Lima.
Rosales also posted a lengthy status expressing outrage and alleging previous incidents of abuse involving Ronquillo.
The Quezon City Police District–Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) later released initial findings disproving allegations that Lima died from physical assault.
According to QCPD spokesperson PMaj. Jennifer Ganaban, Lima’s body showed “non-fatal external injuries”, and there were no signs of strangulation or force.
Initial autopsy results recorded heart congestion and congested, edematous lungs, consistent with cardiorespiratory distress, pending toxicology and histopathology results.
Investigators also noted that Lima’s condo unit showed no indications of struggle.
Following Ronquillo’s death and mounting public backlash, Rosales released a statement claiming he, too, was a victim of misinformation.
He said he relied on details allegedly provided by a mutual friend identified as “Kevin Tan”: “Bat ako ang sinisisi ninyo sa pag-sucde niya? Tulad ninyo, biktima din ako ng mis-information… sa mutual friends din namin ako nakakuha ng details.”
Rosales denied direct involvement in spreading false information intentionally and emphasized that others who shared his post contributed to the viral spread.
Rosales previously faced public scrutiny in the 2021 Christine Dacera case, where he was among those investigated. He was later cleared after autopsy reports showed Dacera died from an aortic aneurysm.
In March 2022, Rosales also drew controversy for sharing a fabricated story about a theft incident involving political merchandise, which he later admitted to inventing.
