Content creator and actress Donnalyn Bartolome has revealed that she is preparing to step away from vlogging, a decision she described as a deeply personal “gift to herself” after years of prioritizing others.

In her latest YouTube upload titled ‘The Gift Reverse’, Bartolome announced that she will be releasing her final 10 vlogs before officially saying goodbye to the platform that helped her amass more than 10 million subscribers.
“I have a gift to myself. My gift to myself involves 10 million of you,” Bartolome said in the vlog, referring to her subscribers.
“When I think about who I am and how I’ve always been, I’ve always thought of what would make others happy. I never really asked myself what would make me happy,” she added.
The announcement came toward the latter part of the vlog, where Bartolome turned emotional as she addressed her audience directly.
“There’s no easy way to say this, especially to 10 million of you, but I’m saying goodbye to vlogging. That is my gift to myself,” she shared.
Earlier in the video, Bartolome was seen gifting high-end items such as cameras, phones, and household tools to people who greeted her on her birthday. Among those who received gifts were fellow content creators and friends Zeinab Harake, Jelai Andres, Paul Salas, Chikana, Small Laude, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Baninay Bautista, and her boyfriend JM de Guzman.
Bartolome also opened up about the emotional toll of constantly sharing her life online, explaining that it prevented her from being completely authentic.
“There are so many things about me that I can’t share to all of you, and because of that I can’t be my authentic self. Bits and pieces of me are scattered. You can’t paint the full picture with it,” she said.
She went on to thank her supporters for the opportunities her vlogging career provided—not only for herself, but for her family and loved ones as well.
“I wanna thank all of you. Because of your support, I was able to help provide for my family, my loved ones, and other people. I was able to share opportunities with everyone around me because of you,” Bartolome said, also expressing gratitude for the forgiveness and continued support she received during more controversial moments of her career.
As a final gesture, Bartolome revealed that fans will have a say in how her vlogging journey ends.
“So I offer you the last 10 vlogs. The last 10—and you get to choose who or which personality you want to see on the channel and what we’ll do. We will make it a beautiful ending,” she said.
She assured fans that while she is stepping away from vlogging, she is not disappearing entirely.
“I’ll still be around, just not in the same way I used to be,” she concluded.
Outside of vlogging, Bartolome has also pursued acting and music, appearing in films such as ‘Darkroom’ and ‘Happy Breakup’, and releasing songs including ‘Kakaibabe’ and ‘Happy Break Up’.
