The much-awaited live-action adaptation of ‘Hell University’ officially introduced its cast during a story conference held on Wednesday. The series, based on the hit Wattpad novel by KnightInBlack (KiB), is set to premiere on January 10 next year.

Director Bobby Bonifacio Jr. emphasized the massive following of the original novel, which has become one of Wattpad’s biggest horror–action titles.
“Based ito sa web novel, sa Wattpad na sinulat ni KnightInBlack na ang dami-dami pong fans, over 179 million rates na siya so far,” he said.
Author KiB described Hell University as a deadly, mysterious school where survival is the only real challenge.
“In this school din po there is an unyielding rule which is once you enter, there is no turning back,” the author explained. He added that the school is known for being a place where “everything is free, except for your safety.”
The series stars: Zeke Polina as Ace Craige, Heart Ryan as Zein Shion, Aubrey Caraan as Samantha, Lance Carr as Raze, Jemima Rivera as Nicky, Jastine Lim as Vanessa, Keagan de Jesus as Nazzer, Jac Abellana as Jerome, Derick Ong as Dave, Gabbi Ejercito as Mia and Andre Yllana as Matt.
Bonifacio said every actor underwent a thorough selection process.
“‘Yung iba unanimous naming pinili and ‘yung iba nakitaan talaga ng potential ni Boss Vic para maipasok sa series na ito. And so we work together para maisabuhay talaga ng bawat isa sa kanila ang mga characters sa Hell University,” he explained.
Lead stars Heart Ryan and Zeke Polina expressed gratitude for landing the top roles.
Ryan shared, “So far, masaya naman po kami kasi nabigyan po kami ng chance, ng opportunity na mag-lead role finally… We’re just grateful po.”

Polina added, “It’s definitely a mix of both. Aside from nervousness and everything, definitely part ‘yan, pero very excited din. Yeah, this is gonna be a big challenge, but at the same time kakayanin namin ‘to.” (with reports from Lau Balocos)
