Emotions ran high in Ivana Alawi’s latest YouTube vlog titled ‘Bagong Buhay,’ which documents her continued efforts to help a former homeless man known as Jesus Paraboles, including the purchase of a parcel of land in Bicol where she plans to build him a house.
In the vlog, Ivana showed the process of preparing a fresh start for Kuya Jesus, beginning with his emotional reunion with his two sisters. The siblings broke down in tears upon seeing each other again, revealing that they had been searching for Jesus for a long time after learning through Ivana’s vlog that he had been living on the streets without a home.
Ivana herself was visibly emotional during the reunion, quietly crying as she witnessed the moment between the siblings. The scene quickly went viral, with other vloggers and viewers admitting they were moved to tears by the family’s reconciliation.
After Kuya Jesus decided that he wanted to return home to Bicol, Ivana accompanied him and documented his new life with his family. Prior to their trip, Ivana had already promised in an earlier vlog that she would help him secure land, build a house, and provide him with a livelihood.
She fulfilled that promise by surprising Kuya Jesus with the news that the land they were standing on had already been purchased for him.
“Ibibigay namin sa’yo ang titulo, nakapangalan sa’yo, regalo namin sa’yo. May lupa ka na, iba ka na,” Ivana told him in the vlog.
According to Ivana, the lot was bought for ₱500,000 and will be fully titled under Kuya Jesus’ name to ensure that no one can take it away from him.
“Ako ang bahala sa’yo. Sabihin mo sa akin ano ang kailangan natin para makagawa tayo ng bahay diyan. Tapos maglalagay pa tayo ng maraming hayop, tapos magtatanim tayo rito,” she added.
Aside from the land, Ivana also gave Kuya Jesus livestock such as pigs, with plans to add chickens, cows, and goats so he can have a steady livelihood.
Ivana shared her deeper reason for helping Kuya Jesus, noting that their meeting felt meaningful and guided by faith.
“Lagi nilang sinasabi na ka-birthday mo si Papa Jesus. Sino ang mag-aakala na sa ginagawa kong prank may makikilala ako na isang napakabait na tao tapos ang pangalan pa niya ay Jesus. Siya ang lumapit sa akin. Alam ko talaga na hindi ito coincidence, plano ni Lord,” she said.
She also reiterated her purpose as a content creator.
“Bilang isang content creator, gusto kong gamitin ang platform ko to inspire people, to help people, to share kindness. Hindi ako perpektong tao… pero proud ako kasi nagamit ko ‘yung platform ko, na-reunite natin ang isang pamilya at matutulungan natin si Kuya Jesus na magkaroon ng magandang kinabukasan,” Ivana said.
Ivana added that all earnings from her YouTube videos featuring Kuya Jesus will go directly to him.
Kuya Jesus, who previously went viral after giving Ivana spare change when she disguised herself as a homeless pregnant woman, was overwhelmed and deeply grateful for the help. Ivana has since kept her promise not to abandon him and to help him rise from homelessness.
As of writing, the vlog has garnered over six million views, with netizens praising Ivana’s generosity and many admitting they cried while watching Kuya Jesus’ journey toward a new life.
