Written back in 2025, the song was born out of the intense back pain she was already dealing with at the time – pain she pushed through even while continuing to perform and tour. After recently sharing that she was hospitalized with severe back pain and later diagnosed with lymphoma following a spinal cord tumor biopsy, the song has naturally become a source of focus and forward motion – not as a headline, but as a reminder of strength in motion. With its uplifting energy and emotional clarity, “Glow Up” feels like both a stylistic milestone and a statement of intent: even in the hardest seasons, you can still rise, transform, and keep moving forward.
