Singer-comedian Echo Caringal surprised listeners after claiming he once had a one-night stand with a well-known host of ‘Eat Bulaga’, though he declined to reveal the person’s identity.

Caringal made the revelation during his guest appearance on the podcast Think Talk Tea, where he was asked directly if he had ever been romantically or sexually involved with someone from the entertainment industry.
“One night stand. Hindi naman sa pagmamaganda,” Echo said.
When the host pressed him for details, the comedian did not hold back.
“Eh ‘di pinaligaya namin ang isa’t isa. Inaya niya ako sa bahay nila. Inom-inom lang ng alak… nalasing. Nag-Netflix and chill. Sa sobrang chill tumayo lahat ng dapat tumayo,” he narrated, laughing.
He continued, “Nagising na lang kami na magkayakap kami. Tapos breakfast in bed. Tapos sabay kaming pumunta sa work.”
The conversation took a more shocking turn when Echo confirmed that the person involved was a host of ‘Eat Bulaga’, prompting an immediate reaction from the podcast host.
“Ayoko nang tanungin kung sino,” the host said.
Echo jokingly threw out a name before quickly retracting it. “Allan K, chariz!” he quipped, referring to Allan K. He then clarified, “Hindi no! Boss ko ‘yon.”
Asked why he refused to name the person, Echo explained that he did not want to cause trouble or out anyone publicly.
“Hulaan na lang nila kasi mahirap naman talagang mag-ispluk ka, eh. Ayaw naman nating i-out ang mga tao, ‘di ba?” the host remarked, to which Echo simply replied, “Basta masarap.”
The revelation quickly made the rounds online, with netizens offering mixed reactions. Some urged caution, saying his claims should be taken “with a grain of salt,” while others criticized what they perceived as “kiss and tell” behavior. Still, many noted that Echo appeared to be enjoying the attention sparked by the viral confession.
Caringal rose to prominence after winning ‘BakClash’, a singing competition segment on ‘Eat Bulaga’, which later made him a regular part of the long-running noontime show.
