Gelli de Belen has firmly denied rumors claiming that her niece, Kaila Estrada, is pregnant, calling the speculation “toxic” and completely untrue.

Gelli addressed the issue after showbiz reporters asked her about a blind item circulating online that hinted at a young actress being pregnant, with Kaila allegedly among the names being speculated about. The rumor reportedly stemmed from a photo in which netizens claimed Kaila’s stomach appeared slightly rounded.
“What? Hindi ’yan! Hindi totoo ’yan,” Gelli said without hesitation. “Siyempre kung totoo ’yan, malalaman ko ’yan kasi tatawagan agad ako ni Janice de Belen. Walang ganu’n! Walang ganu’n, grabe naman. Bakit ganu’n? Napaka-toxic.”
Gelli stressed that if there were any truth to the rumor, her sister Janice de Belen—Kaila’s mother—would have informed her immediately.
While Gelli chose to remain guarded when asked about ongoing rumors linking Kaila to Daniel Padilla, she was clear that the pregnancy speculation crossed a line. She explained that she did not want to be dragged into unfounded narratives surrounding her niece’s personal life.
“Happy ako for all my pamangkins,” Gelli said. “Kung saan masaya ang mga batang ito, doon sila. Kung ano ang ikaliligaya nila, doon sila.”
She also reminded reporters that public figures inevitably face rumors, but emphasized the importance of staying grounded. “Ganu’n talaga sa industry,” she said. “When you’re out there, that is one of the things you have to deal with… Basta if you’re true to yourself, maligaya ka, wala kang inaapakan, wala kang sinasaktan, ’yun ang importante.”

Despite repeated attempts by reporters to get her reaction about Kaila’s rumored relationship with Daniel, Gelli maintained she had no direct knowledge and jokingly insisted she was unprepared for such questions.
“Hindi ako prepared, hindi ako prepared!” she said with a laugh. “Bahala na sila, malalaki na sila.”
Gelli added that her current focus remains on her work, particularly her new film ‘Mantsa’, expressing gratitude for being back on set and working again with familiar collaborators.
As for the pregnancy rumor, Gelli was unequivocal: “Hindi ’yan, hindi totoo ’yan.”
