TV host and actor Luis Manzano has denied speculation that he and his wife, actress Jessy Mendiola, are the “high-profile power couple” mentioned in a viral blind item circulating on social media.
The rumor stemmed from a post by entertainment personality AltIndayBadiday on X (formerly Twitter), in which she asked followers to guess the identity of a power couple allegedly going through relationship troubles. In the same post, she directly tagged Manzano and asked if he and Mendiola were involved.
“SİNO BA KASI İTONG ‘POWER COUPLE’ NA ITO? … Kasama rin sa iniintriga si Luis Manzano @luckymanzano at Jessy Mendiola. How true Kuya Luis?” the post read.
Manzano was quick to respond, shutting down the speculation with a lighthearted reply.
“Sleep lang po ako, di po kami,” he wrote, followed by laughing emojis.

Following his response, several netizens agreed that Manzano and Mendiola were unlikely to be the couple referred to in the blind item, noting that the host has not been linked to any third party.
“Parang wala naman ako naalala na na-link si Luis sa ibang babae,” one X user commented.
The same blind item also prompted online speculation involving other celebrity couples, including Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, as well as Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano. However, supporters of Rivera and Dantes pointed out that the couple had recently shared sweet family photos, countering any claims of marital trouble.
As of writing, no official confirmation has been made regarding the true identities behind the blind item.
