Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda addressed a recently viral airport video involving him by poking fun at the incident during the Monday, January 5, 2026 episode of ‘It’s Showtime’.

The video, which circulated widely on social media, showed a content creator identified as “Jessamine” following Vice Ganda inside an airport while filming him. In the clip, the woman repeatedly tried to get Vice’s attention but struggled to recall his name.
“Si ano ’to… artista ito… uy… ito ’yung sikat na artista sa Pilipinas,” the content creator could be heard saying in the video as Vice continued walking with his luggage, appearing to be in a hurry.
She later asked, “Uuwi ka na ng Pinas? Happy New Year!” to which Vice replied with a laugh, “Happy New Year po, hindi n’yo nga ako kilala ate eh.”
Despite the exchange, the woman continued recording, saying she recognized him from television. The video ended after someone accompanying Vice told her to stop filming.
The original uploader later captioned the post by saying she had forgotten Vice Ganda’s name but claimed he still acknowledged her, adding that she was an ‘Eat Bulaga’ viewer.
Rather than issuing a formal response, Vice chose to address the incident humorously on air. During the ‘Laro Laro Pick’ segment of ‘It’s Showtime’, he joked about a contestant whom he said resembled the woman who filmed him at the airport.
“Kamukha mo ’yung nagbi-video sa ’kin sa airport,” Vice quipped, drawing laughter from the studio audience.
He then reenacted the moment, mimicking the woman’s lines: “Ay kilala ko ’to eh, sikat ’to eh… artista ’to eh,” before clarifying that she actually knew who he was despite claiming otherwise.
“Echusera, hindi raw niya alam pangalan ko. Eh kitang-kita ko siya nung nakita niya ako—sabi niya, ‘Ay si Vice Ganda,’ tapos vinideo ako,” Vice said. He added that he was rushing to catch a flight at the time of the encounter.
The segment prompted mixed reactions online, with some netizens finding Vice’s response amusing, while others pointed out issues surrounding consent and privacy when filming celebrities in public spaces.
As of this writing, the content creator involved has not issued a separate statement regarding Vice’s remarks.
