Veteran TV host Willie Revillame publicly appealed to President Bongbong Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte to move past personal differences and focus on unity in governance.

Speaking at a press event ahead of the launch of his new game show ‘Wilyonaryo’, Revillame said he has been closely watching the reported tension between the country’s top two officials and expressed concern over how it might affect the nation. ‘Wilyonaryo’ marks Revillame’s return to television following his 2025 senatorial bid and is set to premiere on WilTV.
“Sana maayos na,” Revillame said, stressing that when national leaders are at odds, it can have a damaging effect on the country’s stability and progress. He noted that unresolved conflict at the highest level could lead to divisions among Filipinos, something he believes should be avoided.
The host urged both leaders to let go of “pride, ego, and anger,” saying that doing so would allow them to work more effectively for the Filipino people. “Kung hindi magkasundo, wasak na e — wasak na ang bansa,” he added, highlighting his belief that unity at the top translates into tangible benefits for everyday Filipinos.
Revillame also reflected on the emotional toll of conflict, mentioning that disagreements can affect personal well-being — a point he used to underscore the importance of reconciliation. He emphasized that putting the country’s welfare above personal grievances should be a priority for both the President and Vice President.
His remarks come amid ongoing public interest in the working relationship between Marcos and Duterte, both of whom have significant followings and influence in Philippine politics.
