Veteran TV host Boy Abunda shared that longtime friend Kris Aquino appears to be in better condition following their recent reunion during her birthday celebration on Valentine’s Day.
In an interview after taping ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ inside GMA Network in Quezon City, the ‘King of Talk’ said Aquino looked noticeably stronger compared to the last time he saw her.

“[She’s] a lot stronger. Hindi napag-usapan weight niya. But I saw her before at 82 pounds. There was a time she messaged her weight has gone up to 114,” Abunda said.
Aquino has been battling multiple autoimmune diseases in recent years and has been undergoing treatment abroad.
Abunda expressed optimism about her health and said they continue to stay in touch.
“I hope she really gets better. Anything important in her life, she makes sure I am in the loop. Nag-uusap kami. Lalo na kay Bimb. Praying that she gets better,” he shared.
The host also praised Aquino’s sons for their dedication and support.
He recalled being emotional upon seeing Bimby take charge while caring for his mother during their time in the United States.
“Bumigay ako noong nakita ko si Kris sa America when they were there. Bumigay ako when Bimby was in total control. Kinakarga ang nanay. Nililipat. ‘Is it ready for mom?’ — he was in control. I am proud of the boy and how Kris raised the boy,” Abunda recounted.
He added that Aquino’s eldest son, Josh, also plays a vital role in the family.
“Si Josh naman, I was told he began the day leading the prayer and ending it with another prayer,” he said.
While Aquino continues to prioritize her recovery, Abunda revealed he is open to collaborating with her again in the future.
“Wala kami formal conversation about possible podcast. I am open if my contract allows. I look forward to doing materials with her,” he said.
Earlier, Abunda admitted that he looks forward to possibly reuniting with Aquino on a talk show platform, whether in the form of a podcast, online program, or television show.
