Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes has firmly denied a viral statement circulating on social media that falsely attributed to him a comment expressing support for Vice President Sara Duterte.
The actor took to Facebook to clarify the matter after a post began spreading online claiming he said: “Nakakatakot pag nanalo si VP Sara. Nakikita ko sa kanya ang tapang, talino at abilidad na may kakayahang mamuno gaya ng KANYANG AMA.”
Dantes set the record straight in a brief but direct statement: “Hindi ko ’to sinabi.”
The post reportedly originated from a Facebook account under the name “Amy Imperial Ugay,” which continued sharing content after Dantes’ clarification. The viral quote emerged shortly after Vice President Duterte announced on February 18 that she intends to run for president in the 2028 elections.
Following Duterte’s announcement, various public figures and online personalities have expressed their respective positions, fueling discussions across social media platforms.
As of writing, Dantes has not issued further remarks beyond his denial.
