Speculation about the impending conclusion of ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ circulated widely toward the end of 2025, with some reports even suggesting that lead star and creator Coco Martin had set an end date coinciding with the show’s third anniversary.
However, recent performance data indicate that the long-running action series may be far from wrapping up.

The series premiered on February 13, 2023, as part of ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida lineup and has since remained one of the most-watched programs in the country.
On January 2, 2026, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’—along with other remaining ABS-CBN-produced shows previously airing on TV5—was transferred to ALLTV (AMBS), marking its return to Channels 2 and 16 in Mega Manila and select regional frequencies once held by ABS-CBN prior to 2020. The move followed TV5’s decision to terminate its content partnership with ABS-CBN, a split reportedly linked to blocktime fee disputes that were later settled.
Despite the platform shift, the series’ popularity has not waned. According to Kantar Media data covering both urban and rural homes from January 21 to 27, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ registered a cumulative average of 15.5% across all channels where it airs. This outperformed the combined average of 14.3% for rival programs, including the delayed telecast of ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’, as well as 1.3% for ‘Totoy Bato’.
Beyond television ratings, the show continues to dominate online. Between January 26 and 30, multiple episodes recorded more than 600,000 peak concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live via the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel—currently the most-subscribed media and entertainment channel in Southeast Asia.
Coco Martin has repeatedly expressed gratitude to viewers who follow the series across platforms, including free TV via A2Z and ALLTV2, cable via the Kapamilya Channel, and streaming through YouTube and iWant.
Now entering its third year on air, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ continues to draw audiences into the world of Tanggol, the lead character whose relentless pursuit of justice and high-stakes action have become part of Filipinos’ nightly viewing routine. With sustained ratings strength, growing online engagement, and the introduction of new cast members, industry observers believe the series is poised for another extension.
Adding to its global footprint, the show began airing internationally on March 1, 2025, across 40 African countries via StarTimes under the title ‘Gangs of Manila’, further cementing its status as one of the most successful Philippine television dramas of recent years.
