After two decades under Sparkle GMA Artist Center, singer-actress Rita Daniela has officially signed with Viva Artists Agency (VAA) on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
During the media conference, Rita explained that her decision to transfer management was driven by her desire to explore new platforms and opportunities.

“I really just want to explore new opportunities po talaga ‘coz we all know that Viva has a lot of platforms right now and siyempre, they produce concerts, they have musicals, they do series, which is I heard… Viva Movie Box and Viva One.
“And I would really really love to try them all.”
Rita admitted that leaving Sparkle, the talent management arm of GMA Network, was not easy after 20 years.
“Yes, hindi po madali na kahit papaano po ay umalis po ako sa Sparkle, hindi naman po sa GMA because ang Viva naman po ay open naman po sa lahat. I can still work po sa iba’t ibang network, pero isa po yon sa importante sa akin na gagalaw po ako sa isang lugar na alam kong it also feels home.”
She emphasized that she properly informed her former management before making the move.
“They know everything, Okay naman po sa pagkakaalala ko. Okay po kami. Nakapagpaalam po ako nang maayos at na-explain ko po sa kanila kung bakit nandito ako ngayon.”
Despite the transfer, Rita stressed that she still considers GMA Network her home network.
“Hindi naman po [ako aalis] sa GMA because ang Viva naman po ay open naman sa lahat. I can still work po sa iba-ibang network. Of course, if they would still love me to do projects with them, of course, I will always say yes.”
Rita also shared that her late father, Red Valdez, previously worked with Viva for many years before his passing in December 2015, making the move deeply personal.
“And malaking bagay po sa akin na my father, my late father also worked here for a long long time. Malaking bagay po yon sa akin na siguro kahit papaano, kapag nandito ako, alam kong kasama ko siya.”
Among the opportunities she looks forward to under Viva is finally staging her first major solo concert—something she has not experienced in her 20-year career.
“I am very, very excited with that and, honestly, yung career ko po, it’s been twenty years, and I have never ever had a major solo concert, and I’m just so happy. Siguro nga po everything has a reason, and I think that’s the perfect timing po and alam ko po that God blessed me with this because God blessed me with great and right people para po talagang sobrang magiging special ‘yung first ever concert ko.”
Looking back, Rita cited several milestones during her time with GMA Network, including winning the singing competition ‘Pop Star Kids’, portraying Aubrey in ‘My Special Tatay’ (2018), and being part of the Sunday variety show ‘All-Out Sundays’.
