GMA Network’s flagship newscast 24 Oras continues to dominate the Philippine television landscape, maintaining its position as the most-watched news program in the country.

Based on the latest ratings data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey covering February 27, 2026, the Kapuso newscast not only led among news programs but also topped the entire primetime ratings leaderboard.
During its Friday broadcast, 24 Oras posted a 10.8 percent rating, significantly ahead of competing newscasts. Rival program TV Patrol recorded 4.2 percent, while Frontline Pilipinas trailed further with 2.1 percent.
Following closely behind 24 Oras in the overall primetime rankings was the Kapuso fantasy series Sang’gre, which registered 10.3 percent, placing 0.6 percentage points ahead of the action drama FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which earned 9.7 percent.
Another Kapuso program, Never Say Die, came next with 7.5 percent, edging out rival drama Roja, which managed 4.7 percent.
Meanwhile, the penultimate episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Collab 2.0 recorded 4.7 percent, placing 2.4 percentage points ahead of competing program What Lies Beneath, which logged 2.3 percent.
With the current social and political developments both in the Philippines and globally, more viewers appear to be tuning in to television newscasts to stay updated and informed, helping boost the viewership of established news programs like 24 Oras.
