Former actor Alvin Aragon has joined the ongoing public discussion surrounding the controversial remarks made by Quezon City 4th District Representative Bong Suntay about actress and TV host Anne Curtis.

The issue continues to draw reactions from celebrities, public personalities, and netizens after Suntay mentioned Curtis during a House hearing on the impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte.
In a video posted on Facebook, Aragon addressed the issue by citing biblical teachings about lust.
“Anong sabi ni Jesus? ‘If you look lustfully at the woman, you have already committed adultery in your heart.’ Tignan mo pa lang ang babae nang nagnanasa ka, parang ginawa mo na ‘yung physical act.”
He also shared a caption emphasizing modesty and warning about what he described as the “sin of lust.”
“Kahit hindi si Anne ang tinitignan mo ng may pagnanasa, may mag-iinit sa loob mo, lalo na kapag nakalabas pa ang cleavage mo at legs.”
Aragon added a message directed at both men and women.
“Kaya Filipino men protect your wife, may ‘Sin of lust’ kasi. And Filipino women dress modestly to avoid sexual desire. ‘Kasi nga may Sin of lust.’”
According to him, faith plays an important role in overcoming temptation.
“Alam nyo mahirap talaga yan iwasan. Si Jesus lang ang makakatulong sa ’yo ma-overcome yan.”
Aragon also quoted another passage from the Bible to reinforce his message.
“If your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.”
The controversy began when Suntay made a remark during a House committee hearing, saying: “Alam niyo minsan, nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis, ang ganda-ganda pala niya.
“You know, may desire sa loob ko na nag-init talaga, na-imagine ko na lang kung ano’ng pwedeng mangyari pero siyempre hanggang imagination na lang ‘yon. Pero ‘di naman siguro ako pwedeng kasuhan kung ano ang na-imagine ko eh.”
The statement drew criticism from lawmakers, celebrities, and women’s groups, particularly as the incident occurred during the observance of National Women’s Month.
As of writing, Anne Curtis has not issued an official response regarding the remarks.
