Kapamilya star Melai Cantiveros recently reunited with the Philippines’ “Queen of All Media,” Kris Aquino, expressing hopes that the veteran TV host could soon return to television.
Melai shared photos of their visit on social media, revealing that she and her husband Jason Francisco dropped by to see Aquino, who has been recovering from health issues.
The gathering also included Kris’ sons Bimby Aquino Yap and Josh Aquino, as well as former ‘Kris TV’ colleagues Darla Sauler and Jasmin Pallera.
In her caption, Melai jokingly hinted at the possibility of Aquino returning to television.
“Babalik na sa TV ni Ms Kris. Char char lang.”
She clarified that the visit was simply to spend time with her wedding godmother.
“Binisita lang namin si Ms. Kris kasi ninang namin siya sa kasal kasi kung di namin siya ninang sa kasal, bibisitahin pa rin namin siya hehehe.”
Melai and Jason previously asked Aquino to serve as one of their wedding godmothers.
The comedian also shared that Aquino treated them to dinner and expressed happiness seeing the television host regain her appetite.
“Thank you Ms Kris Ninang sa pa dinner mu sa amin… and Thank you Lord bumabalik na ang gana mu sa kain ms Kris.”
Melai added that she enjoyed bonding with Aquino’s sons during the visit.
“Nice seeing and bonding with Bimby and kuya Josh.”
Melai ended her post by offering prayers for Aquino’s continued recovery and expressing her wish to see the veteran host back on television.
“Full healing Ms. Kris ang prayer namin sa’yo, and sana makabalik ka na sa TV.”
The reunion also brought nostalgia among fans, who remembered Melai’s time working with Aquino on the morning talk show ‘Kris TV’, which aired from 2011 to 2016.
In the comments section, many netizens expressed joy seeing Aquino looking better and hoped for her full recovery and eventual return to television.
