Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos has confirmed for the first time that she and businessman-politician Sam Verzosa have ended their relationship.
In an interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ on March 6, Ramos revealed that their relationship officially ended in October 2025.
“Yes, we’ve broken up already. We’re not in a romantic relationship anymore,” Ramos said.
She explained that she only felt comfortable speaking publicly about the breakup after Verzosa himself confirmed it in an earlier interview.
“And I think it’s only now that I feel comfortable saying that because he has confirmed it already also in an interview, and I read about it.”
Ramos shared that although the relationship has ended, both of them are now in a peaceful place.
“We broke up in October of last year. And, of course, it’s a relationship between two people so it’s quite private. But I just want everyone to know that we’re in a peaceful place now.”
According to the actress, both she and Verzosa are focusing on personal growth after the split.
“I would say that we are both focusing on ourselves, trying to better ourselves, be the best version.”
The couple publicly confirmed their relationship during the GMA Gala 2022 and celebrated their fourth anniversary in August 2025.
Ramos also discussed how they handled communication after separating, saying that having a period of no contact is normal and healthy for former couples.
“I think with couples naman, it’s very normal and actually healthy that when they separate, there is a no-contact time.”
She added that they can still communicate when necessary.
“But we are able to talk to each other or text each other if there’s something that we need to talk about.”
During the interview, host Boy Abunda also asked Ramos about rumors linking Filipino-American content creator Wil Dasovich to the breakup.
The actress dismissed the speculation and clarified that Dasovich had nothing to do with the end of her relationship with Verzosa.
“This is one of the most crazy and embarrassing parts of everything that I’ve been reading about myself lately because it’s so unconnected and I don’t know why anyone would bring him into an issue like this.”
Ramos emphasized that she and Dasovich are simply friends.
“But Wil is my friend. He’s one of my guy friends and he has been for a long time.”
She also apologized to Dasovich and his family for being dragged into the rumors.
“Anyway, we’re just friends. And sorry to Wil and his family that someone brought you into this.”
Speculation about the breakup began circulating in December 2025 after netizens noticed that Ramos and Verzosa had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
