Filipino girl group BINI delivered a landmark moment for OPM as they took over the global stage of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026, impressing international audiences with a high-energy debut performance.

Performing at the Mojave Stage in California, the eight-member group immediately drew loud cheers from the crowd, with chants of “BINI! BINI!” echoing across the venue even before they stepped onstage.
Opening their 45-minute set with ‘Shagidi,’ the group appeared in striking gold outfits paired with salakot-inspired headpieces, blending Filipino culture with a modern pop aesthetic. They followed it up with ‘Zero Pressure’ and ‘Out of My Head,’ showcasing their stamina through synchronized choreography and live vocals.
Midway through the set, the group introduced themselves to the global audience.
“We are BINI, all the way from the Philippines! We are so happy to be here and we hope you are ready to party with us in the desert as we take you into our world,” said leader Jhoanna Robles.
Member Aiah Arceta added, “We are so grateful to represent the Philippines on a global stage and to share with you guys our music that is why thank you so much Coachella.”
Meanwhile, Sheena Catacutan gave a shoutout to their fans, saying, “And to everyone watching in the livestream, we hope you can feel the energy from wherever you are tuning in from. But of course, shout out to our Blooms here and to our Blooms watching on the livestream! Mahal namin kayo!”
The group continued their momentum with a string of hits including ‘Karera,’ ‘Salamin Salamin,’ ‘Blink Twice,’ ‘Cherry on Top,’ ‘Blush,’ ‘Bikini,’ and their global hit ‘Pantropiko,’ which drew one of the loudest reactions from the crowd.
BINI’s debut marks a historic first, as they became the first Filipino and P-pop girl group to perform at Coachella—one of the world’s biggest music festivals.
Their performance also sparked massive online buzz, with the group reaching the No. 1 worldwide trending spot on X (formerly Twitter). Hashtags such as #BINI_CoachellaWk1, #Shagidi, and #Karera trended globally, accompanied by a surge of fan reactions and performance clips.
Fans and international viewers alike praised the group’s stage presence, synchronization, and ability to command a global audience, with many calling the performance “world-class” and a “huge win for Filipino music.”
Coinciding with their Coachella debut, BINI also released their new EP ‘Signals’, featuring tracks such as ‘Blush,’ alongside previously released songs ‘Unang Kilig’ and ‘Honey Honey.’
The group is set to return to the Coachella stage for its second weekend performance on April 18 (Manila time), with expectations running high following their explosive first showing.
Beyond Coachella, BINI’s global momentum continues as they are scheduled to perform at the Grammy Museum for the ‘Global Spin Live!’ series and appear at the Billboard Women in Music event, where they are set to receive the Global Force Award.
