The Manila International Auto Show 2026, held from April 09 to 12 at the World Trade Center Manila, gathered car enthusiasts, industry leaders, and prospective buyers as Changan Philippines took center stage with the official launch of the CS35 Max and the preview of the upcoming CS55 Plus Hybrid, drawing significant attention from visitors exploring the future of mobility.

Across the expansive show floor, the Changan booth stood out with a refined yet approachable setup that balanced sleek automotive design with an inviting atmosphere. The space was not merely a display zone but a fully immersive environment where curiosity naturally turned into engagement. Clean lines, strategic lighting, and a well-organized layout allowed each vehicle to command attention while still encouraging movement and interaction.

Momentum built steadily throughout the day, culminating in a key highlight at midday on April 09, when the CS35 Max was formally unveiled. The reveal carried a sense of anticipation, with attendees gathering closer to catch a first look at the brand’s newest offering. The compact SUV immediately impressed with its modern silhouette—sharp contours, confident stance, and a design language that suggested both functionality and forward-thinking style.

Underneath its polished exterior, the CS35 Max delivered performance to match its visual appeal. Powered by a 1.4L Blue Core turbocharged engine producing approximately 158 horsepower, the vehicle positioned itself as a strong contender within its segment. The interior experience further elevated its appeal, anchored by a wide dual-screen dashboard that created a cockpit-like environment. Paired with a panoramic sunroof, the cabin offered a balance of technology, comfort, and openness that resonated with visitors seeking both practicality and refinement.

While the CS35 Max served as the main attraction, equal curiosity surrounded the preview of the CS55 Plus Hybrid. Positioned as part of Changan’s push toward more sustainable solutions, the hybrid model hinted at what lies ahead for the brand. Its sleek build and contemporary detailing reflected a shift toward eco-conscious engineering without compromising performance or aesthetics. For many attendees, the preview became a glimpse into a more progressive and environmentally aware direction in driving.

Beyond the vehicle showcases, the Changan booth emphasized accessibility and real-time engagement. On-site dealers and banking partners were readily available, allowing visitors to explore financing options, discuss specifications, and take advantage of exclusive event offers. Discounts and fuel vouchers added further incentive, transforming the experience from simple browsing into a more practical and decision-oriented interaction.

What set the experience apart was how seamlessly it bridged aspiration and action. Visitors were not only able to admire the vehicles but also imagine ownership in tangible terms—whether through detailed consultations or immediate inquiries. The environment encouraged informed decisions, supported by knowledgeable representatives who guided discussions with clarity and ease.

Throughout MIAS 2026, Changan’s presence reflected a broader evolution within the automotive industry. It showcased how brands are moving beyond static presentations to create spaces that prioritize connection, education, and experience. The combination of innovation, accessibility, and forward-looking design positioned Changan as a brand attuned to the needs of modern drivers.

As the four-day event came to a close, the impression left by Changan remained strong. The launch of the CS35 Max and the early look at the CS55 Plus Hybrid did more than introduce new models—they reinforced a vision of mobility that blends performance, technology, and sustainability. Within the dynamic setting of the World Trade Center Manila, the brand delivered an experience that captured attention and signaled where the future of driving is headed.
