Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez opened up about her relationship with boyfriend Jericho Rosales, describing this chapter of her life as “happy and peaceful.”
In an interview on ‘Oh My Gan’, Janine shared how their relationship thrives on simple, meaningful moments rather than grand gestures.
“Kapag kaming dalawa lang, masaya, komportable,” she said.
She revealed that during their rest days from lock-in shoots in Iloilo, they prefer spending quiet time together.
“Magda-drive lang kami. Ang ginawa namin, nag-drive kami, dumaan sa simbahan, dumaan sa museum, kumain. Very simple lang. Parang just happy to spend time together. Kwentuhan,” she added.
Janine also highlighted how supportive Jericho has been, both in her career and personal life.
“I’m happy to be with someone who’s so supportive. Nararamdaman ko yung suporta niya so it makes me feel happy and parang mas nabibigyan din ako ng lakas to work hard,” she said.
She shared that Jericho has easily blended into her family.
“Everybody loves him. Sobrang dali niyang naging part ng family,” she noted.
The actress also recalled how Jericho stood by her during one of the most difficult periods in her life, when their family was grieving the loss of loved ones, including Nora Aunor and Pilita Corrales.
“He was there all the time. Ang dami niyang inasikaso, naitulong sa amin kahit sa pag-entertain sa mga tao, pag-asikaso ng mga kailangan sa wake,” she shared.
One of her most heartfelt revelations was about a list she once made of qualities she wanted in a future partner—qualities she eventually found in Jericho.
“When I met Echo, I was like, ‘Oh my God, lahat ito, siya.’ Lahat ng mga hiningi ko kay Lord, nakikita ko sa ’yo,” Janine said.
“Totoo pala na if you really manifest and pray for the kind of person na gusto mong makasama, parang ibigay siya ni Lord,” she added.
