Content creator and social media star Mimiyuuuh has addressed criticisms from some netizens who claim that fame and success have made her “pasosyal.”

The influencer clarified that while her lifestyle has changed over the years, her personality remains the same.

“Di ba parang same lang naman din ako? It’s just that nag-iba yung lifestyle ko and the taste ko when it comes to fashion, I feel like andun talaga. Nagkaroon lang ako ng pera pambili talaga. I feel like I’m just the same girl, but different lifestyle, different vibe, lang siguro,” she said.

Mimiyuuuh made the statement during the inaugural Preview Creatives Night held at the Newport Grand Bar and Lounge in Pasay City.

Known for her humorous online content, Mimiyuuuh first gained widespread attention through the viral ‘Dalagang Pilipina’ challenge. Since then, she has evolved into one of the country’s most recognizable digital personalities, eventually becoming one of the faces of Manila Fashion Week and landing the cover of Preview magazine in May 2026.

With her growing popularity, some netizens have accused her of forgetting her roots and abandoning the “kanal humor” that originally endeared her to fans.

However, Mimiyuuuh stressed that her success simply allows her to enjoy things she once could only dream of having.

Among her biggest achievements is purchasing her own condominium unit.

“My condo in Salcedo yun yung pinakamahal na binabayaran pa po natin hanggang ngayon,” she shared.

When it comes to fashion, she revealed that one of her most treasured purchases is a Mini Kelly bag.

“Sa fashion naman, yung mini-Kelly (bag) ko. Parang hindi ko nga alam kung bakit ko binili yun,” she said with a laugh.

“Sabi nga po ni Karl Lagerfeld, ‘You’re not just buying the thing, you’re buying the dream!’ So I think isa yun talaga sa mga pinapangarap kong mga pieces na makuha, na parang I made it!”

She explained that buying luxury items is not about showing off but about rewarding herself after years of hard work.

“For me, it’s just a thing, na baka sabihin ng ibang tao luho lang yun pero alam niyo siyempre growing up, nung walang wala kayo, siyempre yun yung mga gusto niyong makuha. And now that you are capable of getting it yourself, bakit ko naman ipagkakait? So parang I’m just living the life. Life is lifing!”

Aside from her fashion milestones, Mimiyuuuh recently achieved another career highlight when she was selected as one of the Filipino content creators who interviewed the stars of The Devil Wears Prada 2.

She admitted feeling overwhelmed after actress Anne Hathaway complimented her questions during the interview.

“Kasi sobrang fan talaga ako ng The Devil Wears Prada. As in pag nalulungkot ako or kailangan ko mag-relax, yun ang pinanunuod ko. So ang mga questions na tinanong ko dun ay based sa movie itself and the things that I really wanted to know for the sequel.”

“So nakakatuwa yung experience. I’m just so grateful na of all the Filipinos na puwedeng mabigyan ng ganitong opportunity ay isa ako dun kasama si Ms. Anne Curtis pa. So parang nakaka-surreal po talaga yung feeling!”

Despite the criticisms she receives online, Mimiyuuuh said she remains confident because she knows who she is and takes pride in her journey.

“I just really love myself and I am proud of who I am. So kahit anong sabihin nila, basta alam ko kung sino ako, bakit naman ako magpapa-apekto pa sa sinasabi nila?”

She also encouraged her followers to embrace themselves and not allow negative opinions to dictate their happiness.

“So just be yourself. Love yourself. Ang best comment for me na narinig ko sa fan is parang they aspire to be someone like me. So parang nakakatuwa na you’re just being you but somehow you inspire a lot of people.”

“I don’t really care sa mga worse things, just live your life,” she added.
