Despite coming from one of the country’s well-known political families, Star Magic artist Robbie Jaworski said he hopes to create a meaningful impact through entertainment as he shared his career journey, advocacy, and upcoming projects during the Star Magic Spotlight Press Conference.
Jaworski reflected on carving out his own identity in the industry, saying that while politics has always been part of his family’s story, he has found his own purpose through acting, hosting, and projects that encourage meaningful conversations among young Filipinos.
“Gusto ko maging isang halimbawa na hindi mo kailangan pumasok ng pulitika para gumawa ng diperensya sa Pilipinas,” Jaworski said.
The youth-oriented program, Y Speak 2.0 tackles issues on politics, culture, the economy, and media literacy while encouraging audiences to think critically before forming opinions and one of the projects that best reflects this advocacy.
“Ang tema ng Y-Speak 2.0 is to listen, discern, and act. So huwag lang tayo basta-basta makinig at maniwala sa mga napapanood at nakikita natin sa social media,” he added.
Aside from advocacy-driven projects, Jaworski hopes to continue expanding his acting following his appearances in The Alibi, Meet, Greet, Bye, and the Prime Video series The Loyalty Game.
“Sa tingin ko, gutom na gutom ako in terms of acting projects na I just want to experience more,” he said. “Ang pangarap ko in terms of acting is gusto ko sumali sa mga action.”
He reveals that action remains one of his dream genres, adding that he hopes to train in martial arts and eventually perform action-heavy roles.
Jaworski also discussed the differences between acting and hosting, describing live hosting as one of the most challenging aspects of his career.
“Sa hosting… kapag live ‘yan, isang take lang ‘yan. Kung nagkamali ka, wala, sa’yo ‘yan.”
Speaking about his current Prime Video series The Loyalty Game, Jaworski described his character Juancho Madrigal as “boy version ng Cinderella,” explaining that despite belonging to the second family, Juancho grows up carrying much of the hardship within the household.
The actor also acknowledges several industry veterans who have influenced his growth as a performer, including John Arcilla, Paulo Avelino, Sam Milby, Jojo Saguin, Onat Diaz, Cathy Garcia-Sampana, and May Cruz-Alviar, saying their guidance has helped him better understand the craft of acting.
Outside show business, Jaworski shares he’s excited about the upcoming Star Magic All-Star Games as a player after serving as one of the event’s hosts last year.
