  • Bianca Gonzalez-Intal had a semi-rant on Twitter about netizens bashing their idol’s rival.
  • She also schooled a netizen on the difference between criticizing and bashing someone.
  • In the end, Bianca reveals what her mysterious tweet pertaining to.

Bianca Gonzalez-Intal recently had a random thought. She tweeted out how the Philippines could remake the Thai movie, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, with Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber as the lead characters. On January 9, Tuesday, she tweeted about how netizens usually bash on their idol’s perceived rivals.

On January 7, Sunday, she tweeted:

“Random thought: Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber could totally remake the Thai film Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”

Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul or commonly known as Baifern plays Nam, a quirky girl with dark skin, glasses and short hair. She, then, changed her appearance in order for her crush, Shone, to like her back. Mario Maurer plays Shone, the heartthrob of their school who also has a deep passion for photography.

However, on January 9, Tuesday, she got fed up with all the negativity against the two young actors.

“Too much negativity with some fans bashing their idols’ perceived rivals. Kelan ba naging ganito? Pwede naman maging civil kung di mo talaga bet.”

A netizen, then, demanded Bianca to name the said bashers.

“Pls name them. This kind of tweet will just fuel more negativity. if it’s clear who you were referring to, maybe the fans can address your concern. Nakakahiyan naman kasi sa’yo. As a media practitioner you should know better. Also, maybe this isn’t a simply “hindi bet” situation”

Bianca also told them that their tweet fueled negativity even more.

“Bashing is not exclusive to one fandom or one group of people. Its individuals who choose to bash. Wala yan sa grupo, nasa tao.”

Then, she continued, not letting the said netizen to generalize fandoms.

“And, its your tweet that fuels negativity kasi ini-imply mo na may particular group of bashers. Hindi siya grupo grupo, nasa tao ang pagiging basher. 😉“

A netizen replied to her tweet with a quote from Marriage of Figaro which said, “W/out the freedom to criticize, there’s no true praise.”

She, in reply, also schooled a netizen on the difference between criticizing and bashing someone.

“I agree na free tayo to criticize! Pero iba ang criticizing sa bashing/pambabastos/pambabalahura.”

Bianca, then, probably got fed up with all the questions and demands on naming said bashers. She complied, tweeting about the said random thought with negative replies.

Bianca also shared that there turned out to be more even violent replies other than this. She also attached the said screenshot of someone calling a celebrity who, apparently, looks like a mango.

“To those asking, my tweet was about this. To those who replied violently…. a bit more positivity goes a long way. 🌞“
